David Garcia Nateras
Founder of Lampei Church

After completing medical school in 2012, David attended Word of Life Bible Institute in Mexico where he met his wife Dawnell. They married in 2014 and have two children. David planted Lampei Church in Morelia, Mexico in 2019 and still serves as pastor. He has been involved in planting Lampei Norte, also in Morelia, along with Lampei Chile. David has also been instrumental in starting two Christian schools as well. He also serves as the International Missions Mobilizer for the National Baptist Convention in Mexico.
Armando Pena
Co-Founder of Lampei International Ministries
After serving with a church in Mexico City for 8 years, Armando moved to Morelia, Mexico in May 2022 to serve as co-pastor of Lampei Church and to collaborate with other church planting projects. He graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute in Mexico and later earned a bachelor's degree in Engineering. He is pursuing a master's degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. Armando has been married to Christina since 2017 and they have two children. Armando also teaches ESL and math.

Michael Carrel
President and Founder of Lampei International Ministries

Originally from Grand Rapids, MI, Michael Carrel served as the pastor of North Pownal Church in Pownal, VT for 9 years. He graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute in NY and earned a bachelor's degree in Church Planting and a Masters of Arts in Applied Theology from Northeastern Baptist College in Bennington, VT. Michael also serves on the Church Multiplication team for the Baptist Churches of New England. He is also the Director of Admissions and a Professor at Northeastern Baptist College. Michael has been married to Katherine since 2013 and together they have 3 children.
Dr. Lee williams
Strategic Advisor and Board member
Lee Williams currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Dean of Academics, and Professor of History at Northeastern Baptist College, located in Bennington, Vermont. In this position Dr. Williams assists the president of NEBC in all matters regarding the academic program of the college. In the event the President were to become incapacitated; the Senior Vice President assumes the role of President until the Board of Trustees can meet and appoint a new President.
Williams formerly served as the Senior Associate Dean and Associate Professor of History at the College at Southwestern, a part of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary located in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Williams joined the College in Fort Worth as Associate Professor of History in 2006, and served for one and one-half years as Acting Dean in 2008-2009. In 2010, he was named permanent Associate Dean. In 2010 and 2014, Dr. Williams was presented the Forum Award for excellence in teaching, and was the first college professor to receive the award a second time.

Before serving at the College at Southwestern, Dr. Williams held numerous administrative and teaching positions, including President and Co-founder of the Northeastern Biblical Studies Center, in Manchester, New Hampshire; Director of Systems Administration and Security for Bizland, Inc., outside Boston, Massachusetts; Director of Distance Education for Southern New Hampshire University, located in Manchester, New Hampshire; and taught as a Foreign Expert at the Henan University of Science and Technology, Luoyang, People’s Republic of China. While teaching at this Chinese university, Dr. Williams received excellence in teaching awards from his college and from the university, being the first foreign teacher in that school's history to ever garner such recognition.
Dr. Williams holds his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Baptist University, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and a master of arts degree and doctorate in history from the University of Arizona, located in Tucson, Arizona.

Deborah Woodcock
Treasurer
Deborah Woodcock is the business professor at Northeastern Baptist College and was a consultant for Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers where she provided advisory services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s) and government agencies. She and her four children live in upstate NY. She holds a bachelors in communication from Purdue University, a masters in executive leadership from Liberty University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in organizational leadership at Luther Rice College & Seminary.
